Abstract
⺠Strong coupling between diagenetic history, host rock properties and the current fault zone properties. ⺠Variations of the rock strength induce various strain accommodation mechanisms. ⺠Fault architecture displays large thickness variations. ⺠Damage zone composed by an alternation of permeable-low-stiff and low-permeable-high-stiff layers.
