Distribution of linear mesostructures in oblique folded surfaces: Unravelling superposed Ordovician and Variscan folds in the Pyrenees

► New data on the geometry of Ordovician folds in the Pyrenees. ► Ordovician and Variscan Fold superposition is not evidenced by interference patterns at outcrop scale. ► An earlier fold system can account for a complex distribution of intersection lineation of a subsequent folding event. ► A 3D reconstruction of refold structures is necessary.
