Abstract
► Subgrain rotation recrystallization is dominant in the mantle lithosphere. ► Orientation of recrystallized grains controlled by the deformation fabric. ► Recrystallized volume controls the dispersion and the strength of olivine CPO. ► Temperature controls the interplay between deformation, nucleation and growth rates. ► Anisotropy at sub-Moho depths should be weaker than deeper in the mantle.
