Abstract
⺠Fault architecture depends on rheology, stratigraphy and fault displacement. ⺠Fault zones contain dragged and mixed beds or lenses of undeformed cohesive material. ⺠Most fault zone deformation is achieved by particulate flow, aided by cataclasis. ⺠Strain can be localised in competent sediments.
