Abstract
⺠Large fossil logs are reported from the Mid-Pleistocene of Thailand. ⺠Architectural analysis indicates heights in excess of 100 m for source trees. ⺠Mid-Pleistocene biotope was a high tropical rainforest. ⺠This forest was no barrier to humans as contemporaneous artefacts were found closeby.
