Abstract
⺠4 E-Socotran speleothems record the evolution of the NE monsoon over the last 7 ka. ⺠NE monsoon dries from 7 to 3.8 ka and remains stable afterwards. ⺠The local wettening of W-Socotra could relate to a change in SW wind path. ⺠N-Oman and E-Socotra are both influenced by the NE monsoon since 6 ka. ⺠Records currently located outside the ITCZ belt display an abrupt drying at 6 ka.
