Abstract
⺠First review of palaeotsunamis for the Christchurch region. ⺠One possible and six probable Holocene palaeotsunamis are reported. ⺠Potential local palaeo-sources inc. faults, landslides, gas hydrates and seamounts. ⺠Potential distant palaeo-sources inc. subduction zones in Central and South America. ⺠Several new potential palaeo-sources are identified and need further investigation.
