Abstract
⺠This paper reports new evidence from the Monadhliath Mountains, Scotland. ⺠Deglaciation of the BIIS in the area occurred at ca 15.1 ka. ⺠The YD readvance (11.8-9.8 ka) was smaller due to a drier climate east from the Highlands ice cap. ⺠Our reconstruction confirms the steep SW to NE precipitation gradient across Scotland.
