Abstract
⺠Pollen productivity estimates were calculated from sites in a Scottish pine woodland. ⺠Systematic and random sampling strategies were compared. ⺠We found sampling strategy has minimal influence on the estimates. ⺠Vegetation patterning is a key influence upon the results.
