â¢A phosphorus/sulfur dual doped porous carbon with hierarchic porous structure was reported.â¢The specific surface areas and total pore volume reached 2276 m2 gâ1 and 3.95 cm3 gâ1, respectively.â¢Excellent rate capability, good cycle performance and competitive electric storage/release capacity were observed.â¢No apparent decrease of the specific capacitance was observed as the current density increased from 0.5 to 10 A gâ1.
This work presented a novel phosphorus and sulfur dual doped porous carbon materials (PSDPC) with hierarchic porous structure, large specific surface area and extra-large pore volume fabricated using phytic acid as precursor and SBA-15 as template. The specific surface areas and total pore volume of the reported materials reached 2276Â m2Â gâ1 and 3.95Â cm3Â gâ1, respectively. The P and S heteroatoms were successfully incorporated into the framework of the carbon matrix mainly by PC bond and thiophene-like sulfur species, doping level was found to be 1.88 and 1.23Â at.% for P and S heteroatoms, respectively. The reported material exhibited competitive electric storage/release capacity, excellent rate capability and good cycle performance, which specific capacitance reached 253Â FÂ gâ1, no apparent decrease of the specific capacitance was observed as the current density increased from 0.5 to 10Â AÂ gâ1, and the specific capacitance retention reached 100% after 1000 times charge/discharge cycle.
