Abstract
- Sulfur-deficient solid-state molybdenum sulfide clusters are applied to catalysis.
- Hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, and hydrogenolysis proceed over the clusters.
- This catalytic behavior is similar to that of the platinum metals.
- The molybdenum atom is isoelectronic with the platinum metals, causing the similarity.
