Abstract
- Vapor-phase cyclodehydration of diethylene glycol into 1,4-dioxane was investigated.
- Ag2O-modified Al2O3 was found to be efficient for stabilizing the catalytic activity.
- The loading of Ag2O can inhibit carbon deposition onto the catalyst surface.
- H2 carrier gas was indispensable for stabilizing the catalytic activity.
- A 1,4-dioxane yield higher than 90% was achieved over 1% Ag2O-modified Al2O3.
