Abstract
- 2,5 Hexanedione is produced from cellulose using ZrW in the presence of hydrogen.
- ZrW in hydrogen atmosphere increases of cellulose conversion from 30% to 65%.
- Lewis acid sites of ZrW are proposed to promote hydroxyls abstractions and hydride transfers.
