Abstract
- Ni/SiC was compared to Ni/Al2O3 in the total methanation reaction for the first time.
- The 120Â h stability tests showed Ni/SiC was more stable than Ni/Al2O3.
- Neither sintering nor carbon deposition occurred on the Ni/SiC catalyst.
- The Ni/Al2O3 catalyst suffered from sintering and carbon deposition.
- The Ni/SiC catalyst was easier to regenerate than the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst.
