Abstract
- Pt, Ir and Rh were deposited on SiO2 and Al2O3 in the presence of chlorine.
- The acidity of Al2O3 was modulated by the amount of chlorine.
- The acidity of Al2O3 has no effect on MCP ring-opening.
- The selectivity to RO products is similar for Ir/Al2O3 and Rh/SiO2.
- The direct ring-opening of MCH is possible in the decreasing order: Ir > Rh â«Â Pt.
