Abstract
- CrVI can be photoreduced within fastest time (10Â min) upon AgCl:Ag-Hollow NCs.
- A newly AgCl:Ag hollow NCs have been synthesized with a purple color and cubical structure.
- The hollow structure enhanced 42 times specific surface area than normal AgCl materials.
- Such NCs Exhibit 4 8 times higher photoelectric conversion efficiency than normal AgCl.
- A novel and in-depth mechanism of photoreduction is proposed and discussed.
