Abstract
- Fluorinated Pt/TiO2 powders were synthesized by flame spray pyrolysis in one step.
- The photoactive materials were fully characterized by in situ hard X-ray analysis.
- In situ EXAFS reveals Pt(II) on TiO2 reduction under photocatalytic conditions.
- Their photoactivity was tested in H2 production from methanol photosteam reforming.
- Low F content increases the rate of H2 production and the selectivity to CO2.
