- CdS nanoparticles were prepared and immobilised on chitosan microspheres.
- Photochemical method was used to prepare nanoparticles on polymer microspheres.
- CdS nanoparticles on microspheres exhibited enhanced photocatalytic performance.
- Superoxide radical oxidation was responsible for the photodegradation process.
- A synergy effect between chitosan and CdS might enhance the activity.
