Abstract
- The synthesis of a nanostructured niobium-modified cadmium sulfide exhibited increased photocatalytic activity.
- The catalyst efficiency was evidenced by the increased color removal and the formation of reaction intermediates observed by ESI-MS.
- The niobium improved the photocatalytic properties of the materials by decreasing the band gap, facilitating the increased generation of strong oxidants (hydroxyl radicals).
