Abstract
- Homogeneous, nanocrystalline Ce1âxRuxO2ây oxide with x up to 0.13 was synthesized.
- Very stable 1-2 nm Ru particles form at the surface of Ce0.89Ru0.11O2 in H2 at 1000 °C.
- Doping with Ru hinders sintering of ceria at high temperatures.
- Thermally stable, RuOCe surface phase forms in Ru/CeO2 during calcination at 800 °C.
- Ce0.89Ru0.11O2 is active in CO and soot combustion.
