- Ammonium removal order: Ti/Pt/PbO2Â >Â Ti/Pt/SnO2-Sb2O4Â >Â BDD.
- BDD promotes higher mineralization than Ti/Pt/PbO2 or Ti/Pt/SnO2-Sb2O4.
- Metallic oxides convert organics into more oxidized products.
- BDD converts ammonium to nitrate, whereas the other anodes remove it from solution.
- Metallic oxide anodes present lower energy consumptions than BDD.
