Microwave heated synthesis of carbon supported Pd, Ni and Pd-Ni nanoparticles for methanol oxidation in KOH solution

- Pd-Ni nanoparticles were deposited using microwave-irradiation method.
- α values at Ni/C and Pd-Ni/C electrocatalysts are 0.522 and 0.700, respectively.
- Methanol was oxidized at Pd-Ni/C at 0 and 913 mV (MMO).
- Long-term stability of Ni/C was improved by adding Pd.
