- UV light promotes the methanation of CO over Ru/TiO2.
- Photo-generated electrons induced by TiO2 can transfer to Ru sites.
- High surface electron density of Ru promotes the adsorption of CO and its activation at Ru sites.
- Promoted adsorption of CO and its activation at Ru sites benefit the methanation of CO.
- Effect of the adsorbed CO on its methanation can be investigated by TPSR testing.
