Abstract
- Pd-reducing ability of several bacteria is evaluated and correlated with catalytic activity.
- Size/location of bacterially produced nanoparticles (NPs) show a strain dependency.
- Gram negative strains produce superior Pd NPs for catalysis than gram positive.
- Biogenic Pd(0) catalyst, or bioPd, was tested in a range of catalytic reactions.
- BioPd from E. coli displayed the best catalytic performance in the reactions tested.
