Abstract
- Rh/ZrO2 as catalysts for the catalytic partial oxidation of methane (CPO).
- A role of the ZrO2 support, tetragonal (t-ZrO2) or monoclinic (m-ZrO2), emerges.
- Rh/t-ZrO2 catalysts are far more active and selective than Rh/m-ZrO2 ones.
- The interaction of Rh species with the support is stronger on t-ZrO2 than m-ZrO2.
- Rh species are more dispersed on t-ZrO2 than m-ZrO2.
