Abstract
- Er3+-TiO2-Bi2WO6 photoactive material prepared by a simple hydrothermal method.
- The presence of Er3+ improves the photoactivity under UV irradiation.
- Er3+ induces a small band gap enlargement in Bi2WO6.
- Band gap modification would be the responsible of carrier separation improvement.
