Abstract
- Various Mn oxides were synthesized and tested for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation.
- Mn2O3 exhibited the highest activity in PMS activation for phenol degradation.
- Phenol degradation on Mn2O3/PMS followed the first order kinetics with low activation energy.
- Thermal calcination can fully regenerate Mn2O3 as a fresh catalyst.
