Abstract
- The formate formation would consume the surface OH group on Ag/MCM-41.
- The presence of the subsurface oxygen enhanced the formation of formate and CO.
- We firstly observed the existence of CO on Ag/MCM-41 by HCHO-TPSR.
- The formation of formate and CO and CO oxidation controlled HCHO oxidation rates.
