Abstract
- We develop a Pt modified TiO2 for hydrogen production via water splitting.
- We characterize the modified photocatalyst, noticing a reduced 2.73Â eV band gap.
- We perform radiation and photocatalytic runs in a Photo-CREC-Water unit with near UV.
- We use 2Â wt% ethanol scavenger for production of hydrogen free of oxygen.
- We measure 7.8% quantum yields with this showing good degree of photon utilization.
