Abstract
â¶ A dual catalytic system is proposed for the reduction of NOx in diesel exhaust. â¶ This system would include distinct low and high temperature formulations. â¶ Supporting Pt on carbon nanotubes affords active low temperature HC-SCR catalysts. â¶ Acid treating the nanotubes results in further improvements in deNOx performance. â¶ A 3:1 Pt-Rh alloy is the most promising active phase found in this work.
