Abstract
â¶ Efficient catalytic oxidation of TCP was achieved by a Fe-porphyrin catalyst. â¶ Initial oxidation products were DCQ and Cl ions. â¶ Final oxidation products were five chlorinated dimmers produced via radical polymerization. â¶ Homogeneous [FeR4P] is more efficient vs. the heterogenized (FeR4P-SiO4) catalyst. â¶ A complete catalytic mechanism is proposed.
