Abstract
ⶠHomogenously dispersed copper on layered solid base catalyst was synthesized. ⶠThe dispersion of Cu was characterized by TEM, N2O adsorption and in-situ XRD. ⶠThis catalyst is extremely effective for hydrogenolysis of glycerol at 180 °C. ⶠThe conversion of glycerol depends strongly on the particle size of copper. ⶠSolid base can suppress the cleavage of C-C bond in glycerol.
