Abstract
▶ A new plasmonic photocatalyst of Ag-AgI/Fe3O4@SiO2 was prepared by deposition-precipitation and photoreduction method. ▶ The catalyst exhibited efficient activity for the degradation of RhB and 4-CP under visible light irradiation. ▶ The degradation rate over this catalyst was about 10 times higher than that of N-TiO2. ▶ The catalyst could be easily recovered owing to its paramagnetic property.
