Abstract
â¶ The CuxMg1âxAl2O4 spinel-type catalysts exhibit high catalytic activity for the dechlorination of polychlorinated aromatics. â¶ The low copper content spinel-type catalyst Cu0.2Mg0.8Al2O4 presents a good potential for the thermal treatment of polychlorinated aromatics at lower temperatures. â¶ The Cu0.2Mg0.8Al2O4 spinel-type catalyst inhibits the chlorination reaction.
