Abstract
ⶠAu/CeO2 is the best performing catalyst in the full oxidation of propene and toluene. ⶠStable propene conversion was registered in a long-run over Au/CeO2 at 135 ÌC for 50 h. ⶠThe activity of Au/Al2O3 was highly improved by doping with CeO2 (7.5 wt%). ⶠThe oxygen vacancies present in the (7.5 wt%) CeO2/Al2O3 stabilize gold nanoparticles. ⶠThe interaction of gold nanoparticles with the support enhances the activity.
