Abstract
ⶠCatalysts acidity enhances residues hydrotreatment performances. ⶠHDS, HDN, HDV, HDNi, and asphaltenes conversion are enhanced. ⶠHDT catalysts performances improvement is attributed to strong Brønsted acid sites. ⶠNo supplemental coke is obtained if a strong hydrogenating activity is present.
