Abstract
The H2 molecules can be adsorbed and activated by metallic Pd, which can promote the formation of reactive H species. The benzene molecules can be adsorbed by oxygen vacancies on the nano-CeO2 surface to be activated. The formed reactive H species can spill onto the support nano-CeO2 surface to react with the benzene molecules, which can promote the benzene molecules to hydrogenate to produce cyclohexane, and further reduce the toxicity and emission of the benzene. And the Pd/CeO2 catalyst exhibits morphology-dependent for benzene catalytic hydrogenation properties.93
