Abstract
The cocatalytic performance of nickel species (Ni(OH)2, NiO, Ni2O3) was systematically investigated in a graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) system for the first time. The g-C3N4 modified with nickel species showed significant enhancement of the photocatalytic hydrogen production activity under visible light (λâ¯>â¯400â¯nm). Among them, Ni(OH)2 modified g-C3N4 exhibited the highest photocatalytic H2-evolution, due to their well-matched energy band positions and effective separation of photocarriers.
