Abstract
Copper hydroxide supported on manganese oxide octahedral molecular sieves (Cu(OH)X/OMS-2) was prepared and was found to be highly active for the oxidative cyclization of benzyl alcohols or methylarenes solely with anthranilamides using oxygen as oxidant. The low loading copper hydroxide was used as a catalytic metal. The hydroxyl of catalyst with spherical agglomeration led to higher performance of catalytic activity for the synthesis of quinazolinones. Moreover, Cu(OH)X/OMS-2 could be reused 5 times without any significant loss of activity.
