Abstract
⺠Phenylethanol dehydration for styrene was firstly studied with a sulphonated carbon. ⺠Sulphonated carbon showed the highest styrene selectivity. ⺠Sulphonated carbon showed low activation energy in the dehydration. ⺠Sulphonated carbon was prepared in one-step procedure from renewable resources.
