Abstract
⺠We designed an ionic liquid-modified silica catalyst system. ⺠The [BMIm]2WO4 ionic liquid could balance the surface polarity. ⺠The task-specific ionic liquid also provided WO42- specie. ⺠The catalyst is efficient for oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid.
