Abstract
⺠Nitrogen doping in mesoporous carbon tunes its surface to basic. ⺠Basic carbon support promotes the oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde. ⺠Acidic carbon support leads to the formation of di-benzyl ether and hydrobenzoin.
