Abstract
- Spray coating process for MEAs based on Pt/IrO2-TiO2 was developed.
- The effect of ionomer loading in the catalytic layer was investigated for the new catalyst in order to maximize the triple-phase boundary.
- The initial performance of MEAs based on Pt/IrO2-TiO2 were found to be similar to state-of-the-art to Pt/HSAC.
- Catalytic layers based on Pt/IrO2-TiO2 show remarkable stability after start-stop protocol.
- Interaction between Pt nanoparticles and IrO2-TiO2 support was identified during the in situ stability tests.
