Abstract
- We study catalytic performance of iridium and ruthenium metal and oxide electrodes.
- Identical electrode's morphologies and experimental parameters are employed.
- Metals are more active in catalyzing oxygen and hydrogen evolution but less stable.
- Oxides are completely intact during hydrogen evolution.
- Iridium oxide is very stable during oxygen evolution.
