Abstract
- Oxidation of activated carbon cloth with nitric acid affects a lot on the physicochemical properties and final activities of the Pd catalysts.
- Oxygen-containing surface functional groups reduce the rate of catalytic H2O2 destruction.
- Heat treatment of Pd catalysts in air and H2, damage surface functional groups.
- Presence of PdO reduces the H2O2 decomposition activity of the Pd catalysts.
- Decomposition of H2O2 is much faster in water than in methanol.
