Abstract

- Hierarchical composites of PANI nanorods grown on the surface of g-C3N4 sheets (CN-PANI) were synthesized.
- Heterojunction was formed at the interface of g-C3N4 and PANI.
- The CN-PANI displayed much higher photocatalytic activity than pure g-C3N4 and PANI under visible light irradiation.
- Good adsorption promoted the photodegradation of MO.
