Abstract
► NiMo-hybrids through electrostatic and complexation interactions with a polyampholytic matrix. ► The hybrid matrix burning helps the crystallization of NiMoO4 at lower temperatures. ► The ions amount added into hybrids dictates the β or α nature of NiMoO4 stabilised. ► High ions dispersion and matrix quick exothermic burning may favour β-NiMoO4 stabilisation. ► β-NiMoO4 produces more propene even if α-NiMoO4 remains more active in propane ODH.
