Abstract
1,1â²-(Butane-1,4-diyl)bis(1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octan-1-ium) hydroxide, which is a basic ionic liquid, efficiently promoted the synthesis of pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidinones and pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines at room temperature under grinding conditions.
