Abstract
► We describe quasi-static adiabatic bubble growth from submerged orifices. ► A method for determining the local stresses acting on bobbles is developed. ► The vertical forces acting on bubbles are detailed. ► The influence of gas injection rate and orifice diameter is investigated. ► A new correlation for bubble departure volume is proposed.
