Abstract
⺠We describe quasi-static adiabatic bubble growth from submerged orifices. ⺠A method for determining the local stresses acting on bobbles is developed. ⺠The vertical forces acting on bubbles are detailed. ⺠The influence of gas injection rate and orifice diameter is investigated. ⺠A new correlation for bubble departure volume is proposed.
