Abstract
Single-Event MicroKinetic (SEMK) model regression analysis provided considerably more insight in the effect of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) of alumina on the catalytic properties of a commercial USY zeolite. ALD led to the formation of alumina clusters containing new and intrinsically stronger acid sites (green) which are partially covered by Al2O3 formed from chemical vapour condensation (red).
